In this video, we will show you how to fix the error message “Adobe Photoshop Graphics Processor Not Detecting Error” in Windows 10. By solving this problem, you can automatically fix the oil paint filter not working error or, gray out the oil paint filter.
When you open Adobe Photoshop and navigate to the “Performance” tab, you will see that the GPU is not detected by Photoshop. Let’s try this step and see whether it is getting correct.
Solve GPU Not Detected
Close the Photoshop application and click the Windows button. Select the setting icon on the start menu. In the settings tab navigate to “System”. Score down in the display settings until you meet the “Graphics settings”.

In this window, you can manually set up GPU performance levels for each application. So you need to add the Adobe Photoshop app and set up performance settings. First, browse the application then select your installed location of the app.
After adding the application, you can manually opt-out graphic preference. Set it to “high performance” and save the changes.
Now you can reopen the Photoshop application and check the performance status. Under the “Edit” menu select “Preferences” and then navigate to the “Performance” tab. Now you can see the graphic card is detected by Photoshop.

After your GPU is enabled, check whether your “oil paint” filter is working properly. If this method is not working for you, download and install the latest graphics drivers for your graphics card from the manufacturer’s website. Then restart your computer and launch Adobe Photoshop.
You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the Adobe Photoshop program from the installation disc or from the official website. Then try to run the software again. If you still get the same error message, uninstall your antivirus software and try to install it again.
