Selling on Amazon is a great way to reach millions of customers, but keeping your best-selling products in stock can be challenging. In this video, I’m going to walk you through the process of how to ship products directly from Alibaba suppliers to Amazon FBA.
If you’re just getting started selling on Amazon or you want to expand your product line, buying inventory directly from Alibaba is a great way to find low-cost sources. The trick is getting those products shipped and fulfilled by Amazon. I’ll show you how to set that up step-by-step.
Choosing an Alibaba Supplier

When buying inventory on Alibaba to ship to Amazon, you need to carefully vet suppliers. Since you won’t be able to check product quality in between, make sure to order a sample to verify quality before placing your full order.
Look for suppliers with good communication and experience working with Amazon sellers. Request important details like packaging specifications and shipping labels in advance.
Setting Up an Amazon Shipping Plan
Once you’ve placed your Alibaba order, set up a shipping plan on Amazon Seller Central. This allows you to create fulfillment rules for incoming inventory.
First, make sure your product is listed in your Amazon catalog. You can check out the article and video below for more information.
After that, log in to your Amazon Seller Central account and navigate to the FBA inventory tab under Settings.
Amazon Seller Central > Settings > Inventory > FBA Inventory

Select the product that you want to send from Alibaba. Expand the drop-down menu next to it and select “Send/replenish inventory”. Then you are redirected to the page where you can set up the shipping plan.
Here you have to enter package details, whether prep is required or not. Usually, Alibaba suppliers print and place preps.

You have to download and send the SKU label PDF; for that, click on the “Print SKU Label” link. You can select the printing type and the number of print labels you want to print. It is better to ask the supplier what type of SKU format they prefer.
Next, enter the quantity you want to send. Under “Shipping from”, enter the full warehouse address for your Alibaba supplier. Make sure this matches the address they will be shipping from.

After that, you can go ahead, and next, you have to enter packing information. You have to contact your supplier and get the package dimensions and weight.

Here, enter a ship date and shipping mode; you can also enter an estimated date. Scroll down to Shipping Services and select a carrier. You have to enter the carrier that the supplier used to ship your products to Amazon. This gives the supplier access to your negotiated rates.

If everything is correct, scroll down and click “Accept charges and confirm shipping” at the bottom. In this section, you can download the shipping label.
At the end, you will see this section where you need to enter the tracking number. You can enter this after your supplier ships the order and provides the tracking number. So you can skip this section for now.
Preparing the Shipment
Send the SKU labels and shipping label to your supplier. Instruct them to adhere SKU labels to each unit and the shipping label to the outer packaging.

Once the shipment is sent, the supplier should provide you with a tracking number. Enter this into your Amazon shipping plan so the inventory is properly received.
Receiving at Amazon Warehouses
When your Alibaba shipment arrives at Amazon’s fulfillment center, it will merge into your main FBA inventory. Amazon will process it just like any other inbound order.

Once received and processed, your products will be ready to sell through your Amazon seller account. Using this method, you can keep bestsellers stocked without hassle.
Tips for Success
- Communicate with suppliers to get correct packaging weights and dimensions
- Use your negotiated shipping rates by selecting the right carrier
- Enter tracking numbers as soon as available to avoid problems
- Carefully check product quality before placing large Alibaba orders
Shipping inventory directly from your Alibaba suppliers to Amazon FBA is a great way to save on costs and streamline your restocking. Using this method, you can boost margins and keep your best-selling products always in stock.
